Baby seat cover finished and on it's way. Soon I will get back to bear making....several shows coming up. Valerie and Tino have been listed on Bear Pile for a special price.
Today was spent photographing and listing yard sale finds in my Nancy's Notions etsy shop. Some vintage crochet books(I wish I had learned to crochet) and some vintage brass drawer handles.
I also spent some time researching this garage sale find. The marking on the bottom reads Rosenthal Group Germany Classic Rose. But the flowers are hand painted and signed so it wasn't a reproduced pattern. How does that effect the value. It is in very good shape with only some of the gold edging worn off. Back to researching....

Valentine Give Away

I haven't done a giveaway in a long time so with Valentine's Day a couple of weeks away this little bear would like a new home. This is "Luv Mi", a 5½ inch tall bear created with black cherry and white alpaca. She will come with her pretty Chinese take out box. A perfect Valentine gift. For a chance to win go to Dog Patch Critters page on facebook and like the page. Then leave a comment under Luv Mi's photo. If you are not on facebook email me nancy@dogpatchcritters.com and I will add your name to the pot. I would like to get more "fans" on facebook though ...so check into it. Winner to be announced next Sunday Feb 5th.

Valentine's Day...less than a month away

That's right...diving right into 2010. First, little Luv Mi is available on my website. She is just 5 1/2 inches tall, made of alpaca, and comes with her little brocade take-out box. A perfect Valentine gift for your hunny.
I have finished all critters for the TBACA Be My Valentine online show. Make sure you check it out Feb 13th, Australian time. There will be some wonderful creations from several wonderful artists.
I have finished one Puppy Grrl for the Tampa show and I'm busily working on more. My mind is already dreaming up some Spring critters. I just hope to have the time to work on them.
Our temps here have finally returned to normal. This weekend it was beautiful with temps in the 70's. A large part of Bill's garden didn't make it through the cold snap. We drove around one day last week and there are many yards with brown withered plants and bushes. It's kinda sad, as we are used to staying green year round here. Most tropical plants just can't take that kind of cold.
Can't wait for Spring!
